Miller assumes NBC Sports & Olympics senior vice president post
Perkins Miller has been named senior vice president, digital media, NBC Universal Sports & Olympics.
Miller will be responsible for overseeing all digital media initiatives for NBC Sports and NBC Olympics, including NBCSports.com and NBCOlympics.com.

MSN, LivePlanet announce “Fan Club: Reality Baseballz”
MSN and LivePlanet announced an alliance this week under which the Los Angeles-based production company will produce “Fan Club: Reality Baseball,” content to be offered by the MSN Originals initiative.
Using Microsoft technology, “Fan Club: Reality Baseball” will make use of a participatory unscripted entertainment that relies on audience involvement to determine numerous aspects of game play and strategy.

ESPN’s Burns to deliver keynote at DisplaySearch HD conference
Bryan Burns, vice president, strategic business planning and development for ESPN, will be among the first day keynote presenters at DisplaySearch’s Fourth Annual HDTV Conference: The Future of Television Aug. 15-16 at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles.
The conference covers all segments of the TV industry, including movie studios, broadcast and cable networks, TV brands, high-definition DVD manufacturers, retailers, panel suppliers and market/financial analysts.

C4 Sports to explore HD on a budget
The new C4 Sports trade show, which is devoted to sports technology, will feature "HD on a Budget," a hands-on technology showcase that will address the challenges of producing an HD broadcast with minimal resources.
The "HD on a Budget" production team is composed of a group of Oregon State University students and will be led by Dale Matthews, director and founder of Inter-School Television at the college.
C4 Sports will be held July 17-19 in Las Vegas.

IFSA Strongman extends global television reach
