Joseph L. Snelson, Jr., CPBE, of Fairway, Kan., has been awarded a Society of Broadcast Engineers National Award for 2002.
Joseph L. Snelson, Jr., CPBE, of Fairway, Kan., has been awarded a Society of Broadcast Engineers National Award for 2002.
All award recipients will be recognized during the SBE National Meeting, October 16-17 in Phoenix, Ariz. The ceremony will be held in conjunction with the SBE Chapter 9 Regional Convention.
Article continues belowSnelson has been an SBE member since 1978. He has been involved in television broadcasting for more than 30 years and currently serves as Vice President of Engineering/Broadcasting Group for Meredith Corporation.
In 2001, Snelson worked on the DTV rollout for eight of Meredith’s 12 stations, helped one of its stations move into a new facility and continued a long-time practice of developing cost-effective software.
Snelson has also been active in SBE Chapter 59 in Kansas City and is a member of the SBE National Certification Committee.
