Turner Broadcasting System (TBS) International has selected Scientific-Atlanta’s digital encoding systems to simulcrypt the network’s CAS architecture.
The network selected a Scientific-Atlanta MPEG-2 digital encoding platform to replace its existing digital equipment for distribution of Turner programming in Europe.
Two Scientific-Atlanta encoding systems will be installed in London using D9030 encoders with PreSightPlus pre-processing technology and Regulus closed-loop statistical multiplexing.
TBS International will use Scientific-Atlanta's ROSA system for management and control of the two encoding systems.
