SBE Honors Thales

The Society for Broadcast Engineers has selected Thales Broadcast and Multimedia as the recipient of the SBE 2002 Technology Award for its DCX-Paragon MSDC-IOT transmitter. The award recognizes individuals and companies that have provided the industry with the best new or innovative technology item or idea to further the science of broadcast engineering.

The DCX Paragon was recognized as being the first high power transmitter to be available, installed and placed into operation, and for being the most versatile MSDC-IOT. It supports DTV, NTSC and various manufacturers' tubes in water- and oil-cooled versions.

Thales will accept the award on Oct. 14 at the Broadcasters Clinic Show in Wisconsin.
