PESA to Introduce new Cheetah Flexi-Frame at IBC

PESA Switching Systems will show a recently added feature to its Cheetah line of digital routing switchers at this year's IBC.

The 448 Flexi-Frame enables the router to handle SD, HD, analog and AES audio signals. In addition, Cheetah now contains DAC (10-bit SDI to analog conversion), HD to SD down-conversion capability, and /or dual outputs for HD, SD or analog video. Copper and fiber input and output modules are also provided for maximum flexibility.

PESA will also feature its 3500 PRO series of system controllers, which provide a new Windows user interface to the company's line of routing switcher control products. The series contains models for high-performance requirements, as well as models for a less demanding signal management system.

Other PESA highlights include: the Ocelot HD-MR Multi-Rate Digital Router, available in configurations of 8x8, 16x8, and 16x16, and capable of supporting data rates from 3Mbps up to 1.5 Gbps; the MCLite Digital Master Control Switcher, an addition to the PVW/PGM push-button panel; and the UCI-2000, the company's 1-RU protocol translator, which is now available for the Grass Valley Encore and SMS7000.
