>R!OT has promoted Ken Nakada to director of Visual Effects. In this role, he will oversee all of the studios activities related to the production of visual effects for feature films, episodic television, commercials, and music videos.

> Dielectric is mourning the passing of John Klecker, who died late last fall. Klecker most recently served as regional sales manager for the Central territory following his relocation from the Western Region in 2001.

> Ralph E. Faison is to be named president and chief executive officer of Andrew at the companys annual stockholder meeting in early February. Faison is currently president and chief operating officer of Andrew. He succeeds Dr. Floyd L. English, who will continue as Andrew chairman until February 2004.

>Encoda Systems recently announced the appointment of Toni McHugh to senior vice president of Sales for the companys Media Management Solutions division. McHugh will report directly to Bob Duncan, president of the division, and will oversee its expanded sales strategy for the Americas.

> Utah Scientific has tapped Tom Harmon as its vice president of Marketing and Sales. He will oversee the sales and marketing team for the companys complete product line.

> The Society of Broadcast Engineers has elected new officers as well as members of its board of directors. Troy D. Pennington, CSRE, CBNT, has been elected to a second term as president. He is chief engineer at Cumulus Broadcasting. Raymond C. Benedict, CPBE, was elected to a second term as vice president. He is director of Spectrum Management at Viacom. Samuel E. Garfield, CPBE, CBNT, was elected to his first term as secretary. He is vice president of Technical Broadcast Consultants. John A. Batson, CPBE, CBNT; Ted D. Hand, CPBE; Thomas R. Ray, III, CSRE; Barry D. Thomas, CPBE, CBNT; Keith M. Kintner, CPBE, CBNT; Mark D. Humphrey, CPBE; and Vincent A. Lopez, CEV, CBNT; were also elected to the board and as officers.
