Nvision Launches Technology Roadshow

In the buildup to The NAB Show in April, Nvision is hitting the road starting in January to demonstrate the company’s technological offerings.

The show begins on January 28 in Portland, Ore., and has stops scheduled in 15 U.S. cities. Products that will be shown include Nvision’s routing systems, master control switcher and modular signal processing devices.

The Technology Roadshow is designed to acquaint television broadcasters with the latest in digital products from Nvision and to provide them with timely information for migrating from analog to digital operations before the FCC’s 2009 deadline.

“With little more than a year remaining before over-the-air analog transmissions will cease, all broadcasters need to seriously consider upgrading their station’s infrastructure to prepare for an all digital future,” said Jay Kyca, Nvision’s director of product management. “The sooner they upgrade their facilities, the sooner they can take advantage of the digital and HD technologies for revenue growth.”

The tour is scheduled to wrap up by the week of March 24. Other cities to be visited by the traveling show include:

  • Cincinnati
  • Houston
  • Los Angeles
  • Miami
  • Nashville
  • New York
  • Orlando
  • New Orleans
  • Sacramento
  • San Antonio
  • Seattle
  • Washington, D.C.
