NAB Hires Wiley as New Head Lobbyist

Douglas S. Wiley will be NAB's new head honcho of government relations, i.e. lobbying.

Wiley will be executive vice president of government relations. He comes from the Electronic Industries Alliance (EIA), where he was senior VP of government relations.

John Orlando announced in the winter he was leaving NAB after five years to go to CBS.

"When Mr. Wiley starts at NAB on May 15, he will be the most senior NAB executive responsible for representing the broadcasting industry before Congress and the Administration and will lead NAB's government relations team," the association stated.

His background includes work at Alcatel, the Telecommunications Industry Association, the Competitive Telecommunications Association and the office of Rep. Thomas J. Bliley of Virginia. He also worked at the NTIA.
