Modulus Video offers MPEG-4 AVC video pre-processing
By TVTechnology published
Modulus Video is now offering a new video pre-processing (VPP) option for its ME1000 AVC SD encoder. The new option cleans the source video, enabling users to increase image quality and reduce bandwidth requirements using MPEG-4 AVC compression.
The new option uses motion-compensated, temporal filtering (MCTF) technology from LSI Logic. The technology has been specially tuned for Modulus Video’s MPEG-4 AVC systems. MCTF can remove noise from a video signal before it is compressed.
The VPP option is available now and will be demonstrated at next week’s NAB2005 convention in Las Vegas.
