Miranda integrates multi-image display processors with Ross production switchers

Miranda's Kaleido multi-image display processors

Miranda Technologies will demonstrate at IBC how its Kaleido multi-image display processors can be used with production switchers to achieve improvements in workflow.

An integration of the Kaleido multi-image display processors and the Ross Synergy production switcher presents switcher configuration and event timing information on the monitoring display, so that the operator does not have to keep looking down at the panel to check its setup. Operators can change the layout of a monitoring display directly from the switcher to suit different productions or operators, and tally data from the switcher to simplify production monitoring.

Miranda’s family of multi-image display processors includes the Kaleido-K2 32-input processor, the Kaleido-Alto 10-input processor, and the Tango quad-split. The Kaleido-K2 processor features an ultra-robust chassis and multi-format operation with HD-SDI, SDI, composite, Y/C, RGB progressive and streaming video. The video can be displayed with embedded, AES and analog audio, as well as multiple clocks, source IDs and overlays of subtitling and closed captioning. A dual-head output option allows two displays to be used with a processor, with the signals monitored across both displays.
