MediaZone Providing Video Coverage of Wimbledon Events

MediaZone, a global online broadcaster has partnered with the All England Lawn Tennis Club to provide broadband coverage of this year's Wimbledon tournament.

The new service is called Wimbledon Live and is available globally via the Internet. Live and on-demand coverage is planned for more than 250 tennis matches.

"We are thrilled by the relationship forged with MediaZone to offer, for the first time in the 120-year history of Lawn Tennis Championships at Wimbledon, daily live online coverage of the tournament to tennis fans around the globe," said Ian Ritchie, CEO at The All England Lawn TennisClub. "Given MediaZone's extensive experience successfully broadcasting livesporting events globally via the Internet, we feel they are the ideal partner to distribute the tournament to audiences worldwide."

In addition to video coverage, Wimbledon Live is also offering three radio channels providing both live commentary and archival material.

The tournament coverage began on June 26 and continues through July 10.

Daily passes for Internet access are available for $4.95, and there are "all access" passes for $24.95.
