Media 100 Suite offers new features and functionality

HD editing system provider Media 100 has released its Media 100 Suite, which includes the latest version of Media 100 editing software, with MultiClip Editing and Boris RED software. Media 100 Suite also adds new support for Matrox MXO2 to enable broadcast-quality input/output, monitoring, and up/down/cross conversion. Media 100 Suite also includes a new voice-over tool for audio recording direct to the Media 100 timeline.

Media 100 Suite’s new MultiClip Editing feature facilitates real-time editing of multiple video and audio sources in a familiar, easy-to-use interface. A camera can be added to an existing MultiClip as its source media becomes available, allowing editors to begin cutting a multicam shoot faster than ever before. Cameras can be synchronized via time code, sync marks, or in-points. When syncing via time code, additional footage can even be assigned to an existing camera, which is extremely helpful in situations where a camera has been stopped to change tapes or batteries.

Other Media 100 Suite improvements include the ability to export Media 100 timelines to Adobe After Effects CS4, support for Apple’s new Final Cut Studio 3 release, improved Apple Color integration, full support of QuickTime time code tracks, export of time code “burn-in,” support for 24-bit audio import, and the ability to output RP188 time code with supported AJA video I/O cards.

Media 100 Suite supports PowerPC and Intel-based Macs. Media 100 is a division of Boris FX, is a provider of editing systems for the corporate, broadcast, post-production and new media industries.
