Kroma Telecom to introduce several new products at IBC

Kroma Telecom will show three new products: a digital wireless intercom, digital audio and video switchers and 10-inch broadcast CRT monitor at IBC this year.

  • The new TW7000 intercom system uses the Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications (DECT) standard to deliver high-quality speech and system security. The system is composed of a base station, which can accommodate up to four fixed modules, and wireless belt packs. Each base station can handle up to five belt packs. The system covers 300 meters in open areas like TV studios and OB van applications and 30 meters when the signal must penetrate walls.
  • The XP3000 family of digital audio (AES-EBU) and video (CCIR-601) switchers is a modular, 1 RU vertical interval switching module that supports audio-follow-video operation. Video configurations supported include 8x2, 8x4, 16x2, 16x4, 32x2, 32x4 and 48x2; available audio configurations are 16x2, 16x4, 32x2, 32x4 and 48x2.
  • The 10-inch BM6010 series of broadcast monitors supports one component, two video (PAL/NTSC/SECAM), two serial digital with passive loop-through, auxiliary and external sync inputs. An auxiliary composite input is conveniently positioned on the front of the monitor. Microprocessor control delivers fast, accurate setup, and RS485 interface provides remote control support.
