JVC Pro HD GY-HD100U camcorder used on ‘Carts’

The JVC Professional GY-HD100U Pro HD camcorder was chosen to shoot “Carts,” a feature film about an influential politician who was given a second chance to redeem himself by spending six years in purgatory as a cart attendant in a store parking lot.

Chris Cashman, the producer, writer and director, selected the GY-HD100U because of the camera’s interchangeable lenses and ability to shoot in 24p on a small budget, and its maneuverability. In addition, he said, the camera’s short setup time allowed the crew to start filming sooner, which gave them more time for daylight shots.
