IDX introduces battery system for HD production

At NAB2007, IDX introduced Endura Elite, a new generation 142 WH dual-cartridge powering system designed for mobile, HD video production.

An Li-Ion V-Mount battery system, the Elite line features IDX's new Power Cartridge design that effectively doubles shooting capability for continuous operation of up to three-and-a-half hours (using a 40W HD ENG/EFP camera). Replaceable cartridges make Elite batteries more cost-effective, significantly lowering the cost of ownership and extending ROI.

The new Elite batteries are designed to comply with virtually all aircraft security regulations, including both IATA and UN A45 regulations, and can be brought onboard and travel in the cabin with the cameraman. Standard Endura features including self-protection circuits for temperature, in-rush, load and voltage are featured in the Elite battery. Two types of serial interfaces enable users to see battery levels in their electronic viewfinders. Existing Endura V-Mount chargers may be used with the new Elite battery.
