Eyeheight keyEyesHDi Keyers Deployed At Super Bowl

Eyeheight keyEyesHDi high definition keyers were deployed to assist in HD coverage of Super Bowl XLI at Dolphin Stadium in Miami, FL, where the Indianapolis Colts defeated the Chicago Bears 29-17. The game attracted a huge audience in the U.S. and around the world, with the Super Bowl now rivaling soccer in its international appeal.

Two keyEyesHDi were supplied to Miami-based Videoscope, Inc., enabling graphics-intensive broadcast relay of the game in high definition. They were selected for the proven reliability, ease of operation and compactness that have made Eyeheight modular equipment popular among broadcasters and production facilities in many countries.

keyEyesHDi allows realtime generation and control of solid or transparent matte overlays which can be located anywhere on the video display. Integral fill and key inputs are provided, with adjustable horizontal timing. Additional facilities include matte generation, wipe, independent main and preview keying plus EDH reinsertion for the main output. Key on/off and six user-definable control sequences are accessible via an integral GPI interface card.

keyEyesHDi occupies a compact 1RU and can be controlled locally, remotely or from third-party automation. Equipped for easy HD-SDI connectivity, it incorporates program and preview outputs.
