Eyeheight introduces nanoBox desktop chassis

Shown in prototype at IBC2008 and now in production, Eyeheight's NB-9 nanoBox is a new addition to the company's modular range of broadcast-quality video, audio and data processing equipment. Optimized for desktop use in control rooms, edit suites and graphic studios as well as on location, nanoBox is a cost-efficient, compact free-standing chassis accommodating any of Eyeheight's range of single-height cards. These include legalizers, safe-area generators and SDI-embedded audio shufflers.

The nanoBox operates from a 7.5V DC supply and comes complete with an external power brick working from universal AC mains. The power unit comes complete with British, European and North American plug fittings. Maximum power consumption is 30W. Control of nanoBox is via Eyeheight's softPanel software, which can run in a Java 1.5 environment on any standard PC. Connection between nanoBox and PC is via USB. The nanoBox chassis can alternatively be controlled from an Eyeheight FP-9 remote panel via an RJ45 connection socket. Up to three nanoBoxes may be housed in an optional 1RU rack-mounting tray.

Eyeheight produces a wide range of serial digital video and digital audio equipment for use in transmission, digital edit suites, telecine, graphics, studios, dubbing and associated areas. All Eyeheight systems are based on a standard modular platform for easy connection to other products in the range and to external automation.
