EVS unveils CleanEdit-XT[2] near-live editing package

EVS, a provider of tapeless production gear, will showcase its new CleanEdit-XT[2] near-live editing package at the Broadcast Video Expo Show in London, Feb. 17-19 (stand C-30).

EVS said the CleanEdit-XT[2] is a new editing application that combines the key features of the EVS CleanEdit timeline editor with its XT[2] production server. The package is ideally suited for fast and efficient program editing and highlights production, requirements needed in any near-live environment, including sports production.

The CleanEdit-XT[2] system covers all SD and HD workflow requirements from ingest to playout with advanced live editing tools.

Also to be shown is the fifth generation of IPDirector, the production management software that covers ingest, metadata, research and creation of clips as well as broadcasting capabilities based on the XT[2] production server platform.

IPDirector 5.0 will be presented with new modules, including IPEdit, a live timeline editor for real-time rough cut editing; IPMediaViewer, a new advanced high-res and proxy browsing interface allowing access to online and nearline media available across the XNet[2] GigE network; and post-production media transfer and streaming.
