ETWN Sounds Off With Lectrosonic

EWTN Global Catholic Network is using Lectrosonics wireless mics in its operations, according to the Irondale, Ala., microphone company. EWTN recently bought a new Lectrosonics Venue modular receiver system with UM400a digital hybrid wireless UHF belt pack transmitters.

Kris Kirchler, senior audio engineer for EWTN said the network is a long-time user of Lectronics models, including fives sets of 195 wireless systems and a couple of 200 series packages used in the studio. He said that even if the equipment was “dated” compared to newer systems, it remained “bulletproof.”

EWTN broadcasts 24/7 to more than 146 million homes in 140 countries and territories on more than 5,200 distribution platforms.
