Echolab offers affordable upgrade to new HD production switcher

Production switcher provider Echolab is offering existing customers a simple and affordable migration path to HD production. For a limited time, the company said it would replace any existing Nova, Opera, or Overture SD switcher with a chassis for a new Echolab Atem 1-M/E multidefinition switcher.

Atem is a 1M/E 3Gb/s 1080p/60 production switcher that includes 10 mixed-format inputs with built-in synchronization and scaling accept SD and HD signals, while two of them also accept computer signals over HDMI. Other features include an internal 32-frame still store, two channels of clip playback, and a 10-channel multiviewer. The Atem also incorporates four upstream and two downstream keyers, as well as Echolab’s SuperSource crosspoint and Stinger transitions, making it possible to build a composition of as many as 12 layers.

Echolab said it assumes customers will keep their existing panel while the switcher chassis is replaced with full Atem functionality. The upgrade is available now for $14,500. For more details, contact the Echolab sales staff via email at atemoffer@echolab.com/.
