Digigami is now shipping MegaPEG HDTV for Macintosh OS X-based laptops and workstations. The MPEG-2 encoder compresses HD video into standards-compliant MPEG-2 bitstreams.
The product creates streams compatible with ATSC, ISDB-T and EBU standards for HD, and can perform format conversion on the fly, including SD upconversion and HD downconversion, and conversion from ATSC to EBU and vice-versa.
MegaPEG HDTV includes an integrated picture quality analysis tool with the same features as Digigami MPressionist Pro HD. Any HD encoding job can be paused and the intermediate compression results analyzed to ensure that the stream meets quality expectations.
