CBS acquires Accom ProServ MX.8, EasyClip

ProServ MX.8 will be used to serve high definition stills and clips for CBS productions.

CBS has purchased a ProServ MX.8 HD/SD video production server with EasyClip from Accom.

The system is configured with four symmetrical HD video channels, eight tracks of uncompressed audio per video channel, and a total of 54 hours of HD storage. CBS will use the ProServ MX.8 in a production control room that is being entirely renovated and converted to HD.

As part of the purchase, CBS included the new Accom EasyClip software. With EasyClip's drag and drop interface, or by importing a pre-built list, a user can construct complex multi-channel clip lists in seconds for playout on the ProServ MX.8.
