At the C4-Sports conference which took place last week in Las Vegas, Canon showed a prototype of its new Canonbeam HD-SDI, which uses Canon's Free Space Optics to transmit uncompressed HD-SDI bi-directionally from 20m to 1km with no video delay. The production model is expected to be available towards the end of the year.
