KWWL-TV, the Quincy-owned NBC affiliate in Waterloo, Iowa, along with the local Red Cross chapter, raised more than $325,000 in a single day to help people affected by tornadoes that hit the community of Parkersburg in late May, according to TVNewsDay. A total of $315,000 had come in by the end of the station“s 10 p.m. newscast, but that did not include the money generated through the KWWL.com.
