ADC to Introduce New Connectivity Gear at IBC2004

ADC -- maker of global infrastructure networks -- will feature new broadcast connectivity products at IBC in Amsterdam in September.

The Minneapolis, MN-based company will showcase its Pro Patch Optical Normal Through Panel that provides patch by exception, normal through functionality, similar to copper-based patch panels.

Other products showcased include the Format Reversible ProAx Connectors, which can be format reversed between U.S. and global formats. The connectors fit standard U.S. triax cables as well as global metric 8mm, 11mm and 14mm cables.

LCJ Connectors are ADC's new series of ultra miniature coaxial PC mount connectors that are designed for high-speed routing in a broadcast environment for applications such as AES audio, analog video and SDI.

Also featured at IBC will be the new ADC Midspan Power-over-Ethernet Controller that eliminates the need for installation of local power to devices such as VoIP phones and Wi-Fi access points.

The ADC OptEnet media converter platform manages any network's Ethernet or SONET media transitions. Integrated intelligence allows users to remotely monitor system performance and transmit alarm conditions to upstream operational support systems.

The ADC Ethernet Distribution Frame (EDF) provides a cross-connect field that ties together all Ethernet network elements from multiple floors of the central office or point-of-presence, providing a common craft interface for performing adds, upgrades, and rearrangements on Ethernet services.

ADC will be in Booth 10.436 at IBC2004, Sept. 10-14. For more information, visit http://www.ibc.org/.
