Stratos’s video media converter rack
Stratos now offers a rack kit for its line of video media converters (VMCs).
The rack kit supports the use of fiber optic cable for digital video transport. It provides up to 18 channels of BNC-to-fiber conversion in 1RU. It manages the power, monitoring and cabling on both the coax and fiber side of high-density broadcast video transport networks, including video distribution in facilities.
Redundant 110/220VAC power supplies are capable of powering 18 VMCs. A built-in digital diagnostic interface allows for remote identification and monitoring of the VMCs via a standard 10/100 Ethernet-compliant, Web-enabled port.
