Maxell’s new holographic storage technologies are now generally available to the public.
Products from the company’s Holographic Optical Recording Technology division record through the full depth of the storage medium. Holography allows 1 million bits of data to be written and read in parallel with a single flash of light.
A new film, "Closing Escrow," by director Armen Kaprelian was shot using 62 Maxell HDCAM tapes and three Maxell D-5 tapes.
