Laird’s LTM-SC1600HD video scaler/upconverter.

Laird Telemedia introduced its new LTM-SC1600HD and LTM-SC1280HD video scalers/upconverters, which provide the flexibility to convert most standard video signals into scalable VGA formats.

The 1RU rackmount LTM-SC1600HD converts all major video formats, including composite S-Video and YCbCr component, to high-resolution computer and HDTV resolutions. Selectable outputs include VGA, SVGA, XGA, SXGA, WXGA (1365 x 768), 480p, 576p, 720p and 1080i formats. Designed for use on high-end broadcast productions, it can work in PAL-, NTSC-, ATSC- and/or SECAM-based environments.

The LTM-SC1280HD includes most of the video-to-computer conversion capabilities of the LTM-SC1600HD, but in a compact desktop package. Designed for broadcasters looking for a cost-effective way to convert and scale video, it features RGBHV outputs of VGA, SVGA, XGA and SXGA and HD YCbCr outputs of 480p, 576p, 720p and 1080i.
