Extio F1400 from Matrox enables remote control of graphics


Matrox’s Extio F1400 enables companies to manipulate graphics from as far as 250m away from the actual hardware display.

New solutions continue to hit the market allowing flexibility in operating digital signage networks remotely. Matrox Graphics released its remote graphics unit Extio F1400, which separates the graphics hardware from the computer by up to 250m via fiber optic cable.

The graphics unit contains both USB ports and audio input and output allowing for remote use of peripherals such as a mouse, keyboard, camera, speakers and microphone. It supports up to four digital or analog displays at a time, and has passive (fanless) cooling.

Matrox Extio F1400 can be used in applications such as flight information displays, retail banking, and other retail establishments.
