Volicon RPM to debut at IBC2006
Volicon will introduce the Volicon RPM (Remote Program Monitor) for MSO and cable operators at IBC2006.
Developed to help such operators monitor the quality of their broadcasts in central and remote unmanned headend facilities, the Volicon RPM uses technology found in the Observer broadcast monitoring system.
RPM monitors and records more than 500 video channels for audio and video signal integrity and notifies the operator, by e-mail or SMS alerts, if the signal does not conform to specified limits. Monitoring includes detection of low audio levels, frozen video and missing video.
