U.S. Broadcasters Tap SSL for Consoles

Solid State Logic has received eight new orders from broadcasters since June for consoles from its C100 digital broadcast line.

Miami-based Fox affiliate, WSVN, installed a C148 to handle live news production. WHDH in Boston installed a C140 to do the same. UNC-TV, a public broadcasting station in North Carolina took delivery of a C124 and a C148. KMAX and KOVR, two CBS-owned stations in Sacramento, Calif., are installing two C140 consoles to handle the audio duties for live news operations, including "Good Day Sacramento."

In addition, Belo-owned KING-5 TV, an NBC affiliate in Seattle, is planning a November install date for its C148 console, which will also be used for live news. In December, KCPQ, a Tribune-owned Fox affiliate in Seattle will install the SSL C132 console for on-air news including, "Q13 Fox News This Morning."
