TV2/Nord chooses Danmon for file-based TV news production

Danish broadcaster TV2/Nord has contracted Danmon Systems Group for the delivery and implementation of a file-based TV news production system at the station's studios in Aabybro. TV2/Nord transmits to northern Jutland and is one of eight regional stations in the TV2 network.

Centred on Quantel's sQ system, the new installation will enable TV2/Nord journalists to ingest content into Quantel servers. Quantel sQ Record and Mission allow control of baseband recording and file ingest. Mission also provides facilities for scheduled baseband (SDI) recordings and manages ingest of a wide range of different file formats to sQ shared storage.

The solution includes a complete media asset management system centered on Quantel sQ 400 main and auxiliary media servers with eight inputs, eight outputs and nine file ingest ports.
