Rycote to unveil Invision noise-reducing mic suspension product line

Rycote has launched Invision, the company’s latest range of products to handle noise-reducing microphone suspension for compact microphones.

Invision relies on a new, patented design called the Lyre, consisting of virtually unbreakable dual W-shaped clips of varying sizes to isolate microphones from handling noise. The Invision suspensions are designed for use in studio and installed sound applications, and are not for use within a windscreen.

Rycote is unveiling the first three of eight Invision products at the tradeshow March 12-15 in Frankfurt, Germany. The Invision INV-1, INV-2 and INV-3 are designed for use with desk, stand-mounted or hanging microphones. The remaining five sizes in the range are designed for use with boom-mounted mics and are scheduled to be introduced later in 2008.
