Quantel introduced the Jo and Ed broadcast editors for its Enterprise sQ and Newsbox HD integrated production systems as part of the Quattro software release at the NAB Show. Both products offer transparent SD and HD production capabilities.
Jo is called the “journalist editor,” and is configurable to individual requirements for viewing, shot selection, rough-cutting or desktop packaging. Jo is adapted to work inside newsroom computer systems with editing, scripting and control from a single interface.
Ed is called the “craft editor,” and is loaded with a new multilayer timeline and complete Quantel production toolset. Ed has a choice of platforms, either PC or Quantel hardware.
