Pixelmetrix to Debut Portable DVStation-Mini

At next week’s NAB Show, Pixelmetrix will introduce the new DVStation-Mini TSP, a portable transport stream analyzer that also provides test, measurement and monitoring.

Designed with a handle for portable use or for rack mounting as a single RU unit, the DVStation-Mini TSP has a single test input of ASI or SMPTE-310. Signals can be monitored over a LAN or Internet connection using a Mac or PC Web browser or using a VNC remote user interface that supports up to four users with a collaboration mode.

Intended applications include DTV compliance testing for terrestrial broadcasting, cable headend testing and compliance, and satellite uplink contribution and distribution. The unit’s shock-mounted internal hard drive can withstand rugged mobile use. The DVStation-Mini is also available as a PSK model, featuring an L-band input.

Using the same Emmy-winning technology as the full size DVStation, the DVStation-Mini has a Linux operating system that supports DVB, ATSC and Digicipher protocols. Additional features include video thumbnail display and critical audio and video parameters with a user-friendly interface that allows users to drill down to examine errors. The supplied programmable GPIs and SNMP support integration with large network management systems.

Pixelmetrix also will show the DVStation-210, Electronic Couch Potato and ECP Consolidator, DVStation-Remote, DVStation-IP3, DVStorIP-Gen, DVStor, DVProbe-C, VISUALmpeg Qualify, ATSC transport stream compliance verification software and DVB-S.2 ASLF.

Pixelmetrix will be at Booth SU12105.
