Pebble Beach to Highlight Upgrades

Pebble Beach Systems will use their appearance at IBC 2009 to showcase the recent upgrades made to two of their premiere products, Neptune and Anchor.

Neptune, Pebble Beach’s multichannel automation system, includes new performance features rooted in increased flexibility of its automated workflows. Neptune users are now able to track the progress of a system request from ingest to playout, including quality control, media delivery and archiving. When a specific rule or state is achieved, content can be moved or copied, or automation can take over that spans multiple systems.

Pebble Beach also offers automatic device controller changeover and failure detection on Neptune.

Anchor Media Management users will now be able to locate playout content through automated, complex searches of multiple archives and storage systems. Tape wear and load time will be reduced by organizing jobs from a specific tape to be restored in a single tape load, also improving tape library efficiency.

Job status reports are delivered by email alert, automation UI or XML-based message.

Pebble Beach Systems will be at stand 8.B50.
