Media 100 HD Debuts
By TVTechnology published
Media 100 will begin shipping in February its Media 100 HD, a resolution-independent native HD and SD editing system powered by its GenesisEngine 844/X technology (HDX) and featuring 10-bit uncompressed editing.
Media 100 HD incorporates the Media 100 i software, which supports Apple's Mac OS X and Aqua user interface. The chip, called HDX and part of the GenesisEngine platform, converts any HD format to any HD format, from any SD format to any HD format, and from any HD format to any SD format, in real time.
The system, priced at $7,995, represents Media 100's first design for the Mac in eight years.
