The IBC Big Screen Experience returns to the 1800-seat digital cinema theater at IBC2006 with a variety of new technologies highlighting the latest advancements in audio and video for D-cinema.
From Sept. 8 to Sept. 10, the digital cinema will provide manufacturers with a venue to highlight the latest technologies, ranging from 3-D cameras to digital projectors. During that time, the theater will be used to screen sporting events and concerts. Several movies will also be shown at the D-cinema.
Other digital cinema highlights at IBC2006 will include the IBC D-cinema conference on Sept. 11 and the European Digital Cinema Forum meeting on Sept. 12. At the conference, sessions will focus on post-production, distribution, installation and the production of movies and presentation systems for digital cinema. The forum will give those attending a good fix on the state of digital cinema deployment in Europe.
