EVS will rock into IBC with a range of products and new features—including native support for popular HD codecs and advanced networking capabilities—for tapeless media managing across the workflow for sports, studios and TV news production.
The company will bring a new hybrid network system, the XNet dual SDTI and Gigabit media sharing network, offering reliability and speed for media exchange in any live and near-live production workflows.
EVS IPDirector.5 And, for the first time in Europe, EVS' XT will be presented as the only production server to natively support some of the most popular HD codecs—Avid DNxHD (SMPTE VC-3 compliant) and new Apple ProRes 422 codecs.
Also new, the EVS Media Importer is a plug-in option directly integrated into the Final Cut Pro interface, allowing the users to search for clips and media available on the EVS XT server and import them in a flash onto the timeline editor.
Also making its first tour of Europe will be the latest version of the IPDirector suite. This new generation of IPDirector offers a 360-degree production management concept that adapts easily to any production workflow requirements. New solutions include IPEdit, a true live timeline editor for real-time rough cut editing for demanding speed-to-air workflows with no rendering required, and IPMediaViewer, a browsing interface allowing access to online and nearline media available across the XNet Gigabit network.
EVS will also demonstrate its latest, fully HD CleanEdit[Suite] production system with 5.1 audio capabilities. In includes instant access to XT files and feeds content with no file transfer required, XT playlist integration for CleanEdit real-time editing and more.
EVS also has a new broadcast production solution for the Web. XT2web offers intuitive access to clips and associated metadata combined with a series of production and rough cut editing functionalities. EVS XT2web will also be showcased in the new IBC IPTV and Mobile Zones; booth IPT121.
