Dielectric to show new MobileMedia antenna products at IBC

Dielectric Communications will introduce several new MobileMedia products at IBC, beginning Sept. 11 in Amsterdam.

Attendees will be able to see the latest additions to Dielectric’s range of solutions for the rapidly growing mobile media market, including antennas, filters and other components designed specifically for spectrum owners who are transmitting content to wireless handheld devices.

The company will show its new 1.4GHz CP Pylon patch antenna, a high-power circularly polarized broadband antenna that builds upon its pylon antenna technology by featuring both azimuth and elevation pattern versatility in a single common box package. This approach allows broadcasters to choose transmission patterns without changing the mechanical specifications of the antenna design.

Also to be shown is the UHF CP Patch antenna, a new low-power circularly polarized panel antenna designed to fill coverage gaps in networks. Featuring low-weight aluminum construction with ABS Radome, single Type N or 7/16 DIN input, and 65 degree beam width, this new antenna can be configured in standard narrow and wide cardioids, peanut and omni azimuthal patterns with various elevation gains. Custom patterns are available upon request.

Finally, the company will demonstrate its new switchback filter for MobileMedia. Switchback filters, which can be mounted in a standard 19in rack, are designed specifically for 700MHz applications. The unit provides superior electrical performance with low loss for a filter of comparative size. The filter exhibits less than 1.1dB integrated insertion loss over the band. State-of-the-art material selection provides temperature compensation within +/-10 kHz drift.
