Both Omega and Zeta consoles from Calrec are now available as Flypack versions for use in locations where access is problematic for OB vehicles or is prohibitively expensive.
At IBC2008, Calrec will be showing a Flypack version of its Omega with Bluefin desk. In order to ensure reliable and rugged connectivity, the consoles use military-specification connectors.
With the standard Flypack, it is possible to house all DSP, power supplies and I/O interfacing in a compact double rack, with the control surface mounted on top.
Calrec supplies the Flypack with or without a flightcase, allowing customers to custom fit their cases with supplementary equipment.
In the IBC Outdoor Exhibits area, Calrec will have a Sigma with Bluefin console in the new Gearhouse Broadcast HD OB vehicle and a Zeta console in the new ARET 12-meter expansion HD truck.
