Audio Wizard Accelerates SPEED Ops

Operations at the Fox-owned SPEED racing network have recently been supercharged with a new tool developed by Cobalt Digital, the Audio Wizard. It provides quick access for changing audio pre-sets on multiple Cobalt Digital processing cards used by SPEED, eliminating what had been a time consuming chore whenever tape or live feed levels changed.

The specially developed Audio Wizard software application works with Cobalt’s 9321-DE HD/SD embedder with the Dolby decoding option, the HD/SD-SDI 9062 up/down/cross converter and the universal audio and video input HD/SD-SDI 9061 up/down/cross converter.

Cobalt Digital’s 9000 series COMPASS processing cards are in widespread use at SPEED, as the network had some 140 openGear card frames containing a mixture of audio and video processing and distribution modules. These are all controlled and monitored via Cobalt’s Dashboard software and a number of OGCP-9000 series remote control panels throughout the facility.
