Audio Precision Launches New Test Equipment

Audio Precision is rolling out yet another addition to its line of audio test gear with the Apx Digital Serial I/O interface, which allows testing at the IC level, rather than from composite inputs and outputs. It’s intended for measurement of audio embedded in HDMI streams and works also with codecs, digital signal processors and digital audio converters.

The company will also be showing its new testing platform for automotive receiver headends. The unit is designed to be used in conjunction with Audio Precision’s Apx526 testing platform and LabVIEW software, and can provide monitoring of RDS stream reception.

Also look for updates for the company’s High Speed Tester (HST) for the 2700 testing platform and the ATS-2 audio analyzer. The HST provides crosstalk, distortion, interchannel phase, frequency response, output levels, DC offset and other measurements across the broadcast transmission chain.
