The Advanced Television Systems Committee and NAB will again present the DTV Hot Spot at this year’s convention in Las Vegas to showcase a variety of systems, services and products using ATSC standards and emerging standards.
Last year’s DTV Hot Spot featured exhibits from Harris, Thales, Harmonic, Tri- Vision, ETRI, Zenith/LG, APTS, Aircode and Broadcast Data. This year’s DTV zone will be located at the south hall, upper lobby of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
The 2005 show included:
- Advanced Common Application Platform (ACAP) in use;
- Enhanced VSB (E-VSB) capabilities;
- Programming Metadata Communication Protocol A/76 implementation;
- Program and System Information Protocol (PSIP) for terrestrial broadcast and cable.
