AJA Rolls Out New Router Products at IBC Show

AJA is using the IBC Show as a backdrop to debut its new KUMO 1604 and 1616 compact SDI routers. The 1604 sports 16 inputs and four outputs, while the 1616 provides 16 x 16 operation. Both units meet full broadcast specifications and support SD, HD and 3 Gbps video signals. The routers are intended for broadcast, post production and mobile production applications. They also feature automatic equalization and reclocking of input signals and support for ancillary data associated with SDI signals, including embedded audio.

The routers run embedded Linux and support TTP and SNMP control and monitoring. The feature isolated redundant power supplies and may also be controlled via an RS-422 port.
