360 Systems will unveil new and expanded features for its Image Server product line of video servers at NAB2005.
The new features include Advanced Playlisting software, a 1.6 TB drive array with 170 hours of storage, embedded audio, remote-location of the server GUI and built-in frame sync.
The new Advanced Playlisting software provides clear, on-screen presentation and a highly intuitive user interface that enables users to quickly build and edit commercial breaks, news rundowns and clip lists. Available as a new standard feature of the Image Server line, Advanced Playlist features include:
- Drag and drop list building and editing
- Editing while running
- On-the-fly use of Pause, Skip, Hold and Next functions
- Six programmable GPI output events for compatibility with switchers and CGs and
- Programmable time-of-day start.
All events are recorded in a daily "as-run" log for export.
In addition, the Image Server line now features embedded audio for broadcasters transporting audio within the SDI video stream. A new frame sync feature makes Image Servers compatible with satellite receivers, tape machines and other non-genlocked video sources. The Image Server line can now receive FTP transfers of video and graphics content from desktop workstations and accepts a wide range of file formats without the need for additional file conversion gear.
360 Systems will be in Booth SU11011.
