ANTON/BAUER NAMES SHIN MINOWA VICE PRESIDENT, MARKETING AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

SHELTON, CT, March 30, 2009 – Anton/Bauer, a brand of The Vitec Group, and the world’s premier provider of professional video camera batteries, chargers, lighting and other mobile power systems, is pleased to announce the promotion of Shin Minowa to the position of Vice President, Marketing and Business Development.

In his new role, Minowa will direct, develop and implement the overall marketing, partnering and relationships with all broadcast and industrial manufacturers and key vendors.

Minowa initially joined Anton/Bauer in 1993 as Sales Representative-OEM and was tasked with directing the development and execution of an overall marketing, sales and operations strategy. He also analyzed and developed trade and export throughout Asia, with an emphasis on Japanese manufacturers and their customers, developing and recommending effective marketing programs. In November 1995, his success record led to a promotion to Director of Sales and Corporate Planning. In January 2001, he was again promoted to Vice President, Market Development.

Prior to joining Anton/Bauer, Minowa was the Assistant to the Sales Manager for the European market and later Marketing/Sales Coordinator for Pilot Corporation of America. At Pilot, he managed and directed the 69-million-dollar writing instrument business in the U.S., supervising inventory control and import operations from Japan. He also supervised export operation from Japan to Europe as well as the production schedule and development of the O.E.M business. He holds a Bachelor of Science of Law from Kansai University, Japan.
