Global broadcast systems provider BT Broadcast Services recently promoted Jon Romm from general manager of the company's North American unit to head of global broadcast sales. Bill McNamara moved up to become the new general manager.
Romm has over 15 years of industry experience. He will lead the commercial development and global broadcast sales force for full-time and occasional-use product offerings. McNamara will take responsibility for the management, sales, engineering and operations for the company's North American interests. Both will work in Washington, D.C.
Before joining BT, Romm was the director of sales for broadcast services at IGC Communications. He is also on the board of directors at BT and holds a Bachelor's degree from Bucknell University.
McNamara has held operations and engineering positions with ABC and NBC, NBC Skypath Operations and COMSAT World Systems. He has a BS from the University of New Haven and has finished graduate studies in electrical engineering at MIT.
