Liberate Technologies recently debuted a set of related systems designed to improve network operators' use and offerings of digital services.
The company's Digital Services Automation software suite can automate provisioning, configuration, call centers, customer service and technical support. It supports digital services such as enhanced TV, service management, on-demand video, voice and high-speed data communications. Network operators can also use it to launch new services, use push-button buys to promote on-demand content and services and tailor content and services to consumer usage patterns.
According to the company, the "software suite gives network operators the capability to take the greatest advantage possible of their investments in digital infrastructure." It encompasses the life cycle of digital services and is suited to cable, satellite and telecommunications use.
