For-A to showcase new switchers and signal processors

For-A will introduce a cluster of new additions to its lineup of switchers and signal processors at IBC2007.

Among them: the VPS-715 GINGA switcher, which includes a frame synchronizer for every input, up to 16 SD inputs and outputs, six keyers and six channels of 3D DVE.

Users can add 2D DVE in every input, delivering up to 32 DVE channels for multisource productions.

For high-resolution needs, the HVS-1500HS and the HVS-600HS switchers support all major HD formats. Each offers a high-performance DVE capable of real 3D DVE effects. They also create polygonal-based effects in which video is wrapped around 3D shapes.

The HVS-600HS “Hanabi Portable” expands features on HVS-500HS and handles both HD and SD.

Among the processing products, the FRC-7000 uses vector motion compensation processing to analyze and determine the pixel movement in each image frame. It detection automatically detects scene changes and turns off motion compensation processing to avoid affecting scenes before and after the frames being converted.

The new FA-9100RPS is an HD-based super signal processor that goes beyond frame synchronizing and conversion by including an HDV/DV stream converter, Dolby E encoder/decoder, and HD/SD up/down/cross-converter, a four-frame video delay circuit, and an optional color corrector that integrates technology from the For-A DCC color corrector series.

For-A will be at Stand 2.141.
